Blog nr. 7 Almost christmas

Hai everyone,

Two weeks ago I got a visit from Stephanie and Petra 😊

It was so good and so amazing that they came by! We did a few things but, mostly discovering Skien. We also went hiking to a point somewhere in the woods XD When we got to the top, the view was breathtaking! (and there was snow :D)

After that weekend we went to Poland with the base. We enjoyed the surroundings and getting to know each other better.

After Poland we had a teaching about evangelism. We went praying and asking God for who to talk to on the streets. I got an image of a man nearby the water. Then I went to the water together with Milena and there we saw a man. This man is from India and looking for a house in Norway for him and his family. Eventually we got to pray for him and tell him that God is a personal God and not a God who is far away. This was super awesome!

Than the week after that we learned about Gods destiny and design. This was especially about your identity. Finding your identity in God the father and that your greatest calling in life is: letting God love you! And also that it is very important to which voice you listen to. Also the Holy Spirit stirred up multiple things in my life that I am still processing.

Sometimes it is a lot that God is saying to us during teaching! Sometimes there is happening a lot in your heart and in your mind and that can be a little bit overwhelming. That is why it’s so good that we have one-on-ones and friends to talk with 😊

When it is about processing stuff, there are also a lot of things happening besides the teachings. For example we also got our future talks. We talked about what we are thinking of doing after DTS and where you are standing now.

Before I started DTS I was like: ‘’I know it for sure. I am coming back to the Netherlands and go and do there what I want to do’’. This turned around a bit in the last few months. I feel really at home here and when I see what we are doing and what this base is doing I get really excited! Besides that there has also been an offer which is making it possible for me to get some work experience here at the base. But also home is still calling. So please keep me in your prayers 😊

Furthermore next week I will go to Greece, the 10th, 11th and the 12th of January I will be back in the Netherlands and the 22nd we will fly to Brazil!

Also from now on I will put my prayer points below because that is a little bit easier haha:

- Outreach preparations. That everything will go well.

- Greece when we go there that everything will be oke and we will arrive safely. And that

our group may grow stronger.

- For the future. How it may become and what the right path is to take.

- Homesick. Last week I got a lot more homesick. Just the feeling of wanting to go home

haha.

I believe God is a personal God and can speak to everyone. So if you have the feeling God is saying something to you, than I would love to hear it 😊
