Blog nr. 5 WE KNOW THE OUTREACH LOCATION

We know the outreach location! We are going to:

BRAZIL!!!!!

We did not expact that we would go to Brazil. The staff spoke most of the time about going to Asia so it was an amazing, cool surprise that we are going to Brazil. We are super excited and are expectant for what God wants to do and for what we get to do there! We will be going to a Christian festival: Descent and we will be there during carnaval. We will leave around the 20th of January 😊

The last two weeks we talked about relationships and living from the heart (worship). We talked about different kinds of relationships like family but, also about loving yourself. One of the sentences that spoke to me was: to love someone is to be close enough but, still have space to grow.

We also talked about the five love languages and that it is important to know the love language of the person you love. Because than you know why someone reacts the way they do when you say something or do something.

On Friday we had a costume party at the youth group. I went as a gangster together with Delia and Stian went as a tourist. We did not win but, it was super fun! (The clothes we wore were from a secondhandshop).

I started the week from living from the heart with giving my phone to Meike. I noticed that I really got stuck on if someone would text me or not and that I sometimes got upset about seeing things that I could not be part of or not being with a person. Not having my phone helped me to forget about it more often and that live continues without my phone. It also helped me to keep my focus on God and on the people around me. Also it showed me what I get here and what God is giving me here.

And right on the first day when I had a hard time without my phone, I got a postcard from two people who are very close to me, that was super inspiring and encouraging.

This week, living from the heart, has been so good! God touched and revieled so many things in my life. He confirmed every day that I’m worth it, that He loves me, that I can be myself, that freedom also not doing something is, that God wants me and that He places me here. It has been such an emotional and good week! God is so good!

Everyday God amazes me by showing me who He is and what He is doing in the others from DTS and DBS (Bible school). And right when you don’t expect it someone comes up to you to encourage you or say the words you need to here or to give you a hug.

With basketball I jumped up against the wall wich makes that my feet hurt more than they already did haha, I played with the band what went well and…….. during christmasbreak I will go to Greece with some of DTS.

This weekend we are going to Get Focused (youth festival) and that was it I think 😊
