Blog nr. 12. Back in Norway

It’s been a while since the last time that I have written. So first a short recap of what has happened. When the corona virus broke out, we were all send home to our home countries, where we spend our time up till now.

This meant no graduation, a lot of our stuff still in Norway and that we were all back home while we actually still would be gone.

For me it was so good to be home for a while, the conditions were not amazing but, it was good to be home, having a nice shower, NO cockroaches, my own nice bed and surrounded by family and friends (at a safe distance of 1.5 meters of course).

After two weeks at home I started a paper route and the DBS (Discipleship Bible School). This is a Bible school in YWAM where you read the whole Bible in chronological order in three months. In the meantime you make a timeline of significance events and after those three months you give a presentation of your timeline.

During this time I learned a lot about who God is and was and who He wants to be for me. I also read the WHOLE Bible and was it amazing to do this DBS with friends from the DTS.

In the mean time I moved back to Norway. The first ten days in quarantine and now celebrating summer in Skien. Last week I hiked and found an amazing view. The rest of the summer I will start to prepare for next DTS and also have a bit of summer holiday.

Because of Corona, the DTS will start in January. This means that in the fall me and the other staff will visit different churches, boarding schools and activities with youth. We will do this to let youth know that they are not alone in their faith and to make them enthusiastic about doing a DTS. But most of all to gain relationships with the youth of Norway. We saw last year that it helps a lot to visit the youth and letting them know they are not alone.
